Last day in San Juan. We have all agreed that we could spend another week here and by the sound of the weather in Wisconsin, might not be a bad idea! We spent another day in the barrios working with the people. We saw every person that came to see us today. In our free time we ran the streets with the kids and played games with them. A smile and laughter is universal so playing was easy.
We went on this wonderful hike to the location of the new clinic that they are hoping to build here. It is so needed and the location is perfect. Many of us went out downtown to the local ice cream shop and sat and did what all the locals do, people watch. Many of the locals will sit all day and just watch people passing by.
As I write this, I can hear the laughter and shouting from the 3 card gam going on. After days in the sun and working doing God's work, we all still find time to share our days and laughter with each other. I could not have asked for a better team to work with. I feel that we were all called on this trip for a reason and that God had a plan for each of us to work together.
Tomorrow we are off to Santo Domingo for a relaxing day . Pray for our safe travels.
