Wisconsin Meeting Recap

On Sunday, Nov 20, the Wisconsin team met after Sunday school and took the first team photo.  Devotions and prayer were lead by Chris W. We went over the itinerary, got a crash course on need to know Spanish and went over some supply needs for the trip. (Chris shared that when asked what she would like for Christmas she shares some of the things on the list... what a brilliant idea!)

Some of the guest house needs for the kitchen are:

  • cake, muffin, and brownie mixes
  • italian and ranch dressing powder packets
  • gatorade powder mixes
  • chocolate and butterscotch chips and M&Ms
  • cereals (rice krispies, cheerios, chex mix, etc.)
  • granola bars, pacakaged snacks for group lunches
  • dried fruits of all kinds
  • nuts for trail mixes
  • microwave popcorn
  • peanut butter
  • paper lunch bags
Other needs include:
  • Lysol disinfecting wipes, hand soap and sanitizer
  • Spanish Bibles and other books in Spanish
  • school supplies (crayons, pens, pencils, paper, scissors, notebooks, sharpies, etc.)
  • large black trash bags
  • ziploc bags (snack, sandwich, and gallon sizes)
  • ink cartridges (HP office jet black 950/color951)
  • envelopes that have the peel and seal on them
Things we will also be trying to collect to take with us include:
  • chewable children's vitamins (not the gummy type)
  • pre-natal vitamins (again not the gummy type)
  • snack bags
  • small toys and stuffed animals
  • small flashlights (with batteries)
We will meet again on December 11 after Sunday school, 11:30ish for some final details.  January 8, 11:30ish will be our packing party, with the following Sunday, January 15th being our back up day in case of bad weather.
