Construction site for the new hospital. One year ago this was an empty field (except for a number of post holes). Our construction guys are amazing!!!

Flag raising at CCED. Every morning, at every school, in the Dominican Republic there is a flag raising ceremony. They honor the Dominican flag, the Canadian and the American flag.

Approximately 1,000 students attend this Solid Rock sponsored, Christ centered school. First grade to High School students receive academic training including computer skills, nursing and accounting skills. After  graduating the students are equipped to work or go on to university.

All this is possible because of the support of Solid Rock and the North Americans who come here physically or support the work financially and most importantly pray for this work.

This morning Hector (one of our interpreters) shared insights from Proverbs 3:5-7 for our devotions. Dr. Sandy Valdez saw a little girl yesterday whose problem was not physical but spiritual. Dr. Sandy did not rely on his professional knowledge but on God’s wisdom. He prayed with the girl and she had immediate relief.
