73 Days
and counting!!

We are assembling our supply lists, praying about our airline tickets and working on our Survival Spanish, right????

Prayer partners: please make sure you keep in contact with your travel team mate. This tends to be such a rush time that we may forget what is most important: our personal relationship with our Savior Jesus Christ.

Packing lists: KISS is the operative idea- Keep It Simply Simple. Remember Solid Rock has scrubs we can borrow and they do laundry every night. Try to have your personal belongings fit into ONE suitcase. Or even better, into a carry on. Weight limit for checked bags is 50 pounds. Not 50.1 pounds. We will have a "Packing Party" on Sunday January 20th at church right after Sunday School, about 11:30 AM to pack our medical supplies and any donated school supplies.

This weeks thoughts for your devotional time are about your personal testimony:

First, listen to their stories; then be ready to tell your story, your testimony. Again, the KISS philosophy is important. You do NOT have to be able to share your words in Spanish. We will have plenty of translators with us.

Explain in a few sentences either how the Lord brought you from darkness to light or how you have been blessed by knowing Christ from early in your life.
Maybe you’re not going to preach or teach on this trip. You may be a builder, a doctor, a weed puller. Whatever your job, please don’t leave our mission field without sharing your heart and testimony with at least one person. The people we meet don’t need in depth theology or Genesis to Revelation, they do need to hear about Jesus, in words spoken with love.
